Many years back when I was a singleton, all of the adults in my extended family (including myself) took the day off of work to take my preschool-aged nephew to a “Day Out With Thomas” special event which was held at a venue a few hours away. My nephew adored Thomas and all of his friends, especially Percy. Going to meet the life-sized Thomas was a HUGE deal and a pure delight for the little guy!
Today, I think that it is terrific that families can now have an amazing visit with Thomas and his many friends on almost any day of their choice within an easy drive from our homes to Edaville USA in Carver, Mass.

Another new addition is the huge, themed climber room in Thomas Land, which also has a cozy, soft playspace for the littles.
Edaville USA has evolved into a national attraction via its creation of “Thomas Land,” though it still maintains its charming, classic kid-friendly rides. These timeless delights are now all decked out for the holidays! Edaville USA's "Christmas Festival of Lights," with over 17 million lights illuminating the park, is such a wonderful time of the year. Visitors can enjoy access to Thomas Land & Christmas Festival of Lights , featuring over 90 rides and attractions. The Festival of Lights experience is likely to become a lasting annual tradition for your family, if it is not already!

While we were delighted just to be hosted by Edaville USA to explore the park, we also treated ourselves to the VIP event of the day. Though the special activity and character “meet and greet” was completely sold out, the festivities went very smoothly as they were very well staffed and organized - and fun!

Hop aboard the "Santa VIP train" for a once in a lifetime interactive experience with Santa himself and his elves straight from the North Pole! This package includes a VIP lanyard for each guest with their name prominently displayed for Santa to see. Upon interaction with Santa, he will refer to each child by their first name, making for a very personal experience. **Edaville USA will also be offering a special holiday deal to guests who bring in canned goods to support the local food pantry in Carver! On Mondays through Wednesdays, now through January 1, 2017, Edaville will be offering $10 off full priced admission tickets purchased at the gate with canned good donations. One canned good per person required, valid at the gate only and not valid with any other offers. After the canned food donation, admission at the gate for ages 2,3 and Seniors 60+ is $22 and $27 for ages 4-59.

-Keep an eye out for special touches throughout Edaville USA, such as sweet photo op spots and functioning birdhouses.
-Feel free to ask questions while taking in this nostalgic experience. Every staff member that we encountered was very friendly and equally enamored with Edaville USA. We enjoyed having an extraordinary train conductor whom was also a science teacher, whom shared several insights regarding the local wildlife.
-There are bathrooms in the climber building in Thomasland.
-The gift shop in Thomasland has the best selection of Thomas-related merchandise that I have ever seen, including a special edition of Thomas.
-Operating Hours vary by date; please check prior to arrival at the park. The park may be closed due to inclement weather on occasion.
-Christmas Trees are now for sale at the park.
