A very special get-together for Moms, created by Moms, is coming to Boston in August. “Mommy Con” is a boutique style convention dedicated to bringing modern parents and mothers-to-be together. Focusing on natural and organic parenting methods, while creating realistic expectations in this modern world, its seminars and workshops include: babywearing, birth, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, car seat safety, natural health and medicine, baby gear, green-proofing and so much more! With over $10,000 worth of giveaways and gift bags for all, the event will leave every parent feeling part of an amazing parenting community.
The event heads to Boston on Saturday, August 2nd at the Revere Hotel on Stuart Street. Dads, and children of all ages, are also very welcome to attend. Mommy Con even provides a changing area, comfy nursing area, and playspace.
MommyCon will kick off on Saturday morning with a breastfeeding world record attempt presented by Acelleron Medical Products. Thousands of nursing mothers around the globe will join in to normalize breastfeeding. A breast pumping world record attempt will also occur, setting a precedence for mothers around the world who pump human milk for their babies.
Speakers featured at the event will be: Jessica Martin-Weber of ‘The Leaky Boob’, Jamie Grayson of the ‘Baby Guy Gear Guide’, and Bunmi Laditan of ‘Honest Toddler’. Additional workshops are to include: yoga, toddler cooking, babywearing, car seat safety, greener living, birth choices, and lactation support.
