It's been a long winter for some of us in northern climates, but it looks like it's finally spring and time to get ready for outdoor activities.

Sunday Crepes

Perfect Breakfast for Mom!

I don't know how it started but my tradition is to make crepes on Sunday. The recipe below is very forgiving-- you can leave stuff out or change ingredients, and it still works. 


Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 cups whole milk (I rarely have whole milk and have used almond milk, skim milk, and combinations of whatever is in the house)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar (I've used Stevia, only used 2 Tablespoons, again...forgiving)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Scant 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ...

Saturday, May 18 - Walpole Day, Walpole

The Walpole Rec. Dept. is hosting a beloved tradition: Walpole Day! The day will begin with an old-fashioned parade including a grand marshal, marching bands, & fabulous floats all competing for a grand prize. The festivities continue with a food court with local restaurants  & caterers. There will be school & town groups with fundraising activities like face-painting, crafts, kids’ games, rides, and more. The music for the day will be performed by a Teen Band Showcase.

WRENTHAM READS PRESENTS A Shakespeare Workshop for Kids with Ned Fitzgerald.  Students will learn and perform a skit for parents/friends at 4:45.  Costumes and props will be provided. Ned Fitzgerald, a lifelong resident of Wrentham was very active in the KP Middle & High School Drama Clubs. As a major player through those years he has given many memorable performances for local residents and is now enrolled at Ithaca College.
