Launching Our Family’s Day with a Healthy Breakfast

A Small Investment Reaps a Healthy Reward!

By Sponsored September 27, 2015
If you are one of the families that raise your own chickens and enjoy
their fresh eggs,
I think that’s great.  For me, raising chickens is not
something that I would consider
doing right now, in spite of my successful
childhood stint raising capons in 4-H.
(Thanks Dad!)  I am happy to
report that I have learned a lot about Eggland’s
Best eggs recently
and find them to be a superior choice for my family’s breakfasts.

Compared to ordinary generic eggs, Eggland’s Best eggs contain:

-10 times more Vitamin E
-4 times more Vitamin D
-2 times more Omega-3 fatty acids
-38% more lutein
-25% less saturated fat

This list goes on and on!  Visit Eggland’s Best website for the complete
nutritional comparison
here.

Eggland’s Best eggs actually seem fresher, because they probably are!
Eggland’s Best’s farmers refrigerate and pack their eggs much sooner than
mandated
by federal regulations. The quality feed that the chickens
receive works to strengthen
their eggs’ shells, which also helps maintain
freshness when we cook and
serve them.  It is furthermore
reassuring to learn that the Eggland’s Best vaccinate
their chickens
against salmonella.

My top priority is my family’s health, making food quality and safety
high on my "radar". I also care very much about the environment
(which directly affects our health and safety too) and have found
foam packaging off-putting when I am grocery shopping.  I have
learned through further investigation on Eggland's Best site that
these cartons not only protect the eggs better, so that all 12
arrive home safely, but are also a fair choice which evaluating
the “double bottom line”, which takes into account the impact
of the package’s full lifecycle –from production through disposal.
While I am frustrated that I cannot recycle these cartons in my
town right now, I wash and repurpose them for:

-crafts (see Pinterest ideas),

-storage (they work great for marbles and LEGOs), and

-reuse to my friends that have their own chickens.

Before I learned about Eggland’s Best, I viewed eggs as strictly
commodity products which were all the same, regardless of any
attempts to “brand” the eggs. I have since learned better!
Eggland’s Best eggs are, in fact, a better egg that will give you
more "bang for your buck".
